Adopt-A-Trail Program To Kick Off In Union County, CA
Saturday, March 1st, 2008
Hiking and horseback riding have long been popular pastimes that can be both leisurely and adventurous depending your preference. California is full of excellent hiking trails. There are intense hikes through the southern desert areas and coastal beaches as well as challenging hikes in the northern mountain ranges. There are hiking trails available during any season, winter to fall. These hiking trails all require some maintenance and care to ensure they are safe and sustain their natural beauty.
Hiking enthusiasts and park lovers in Union County, California are being invited to “Adopt-A-Trail” in the Watchung Reservation. The new program will be kicked off on March 8th with an orientation and general meeting for any interested trail stewards wanting to volunteer to maintain the beauty of the park by caring for any of the 39 miles of bridle and hiking trails in the reservation.

Intense hunters may find that typical stainless steel or aluminum cased flashlights simple stand out too much against the backdrop of the outdoors. If you are a hunter who creates hides and waits for your prey to enter your hunting area, the distraction of sun glare against a shiny object like a flashlight could ruin your chances of filling your tag that season. Some may think that any sort of colored flashlight casing is a cheap, imitation flashlight with no chance of withstanding the rugged needs of a hunter. Not so with some professional grade flashlights available on the market.
