Holiday Shopping for Dear Ol’ Dad

7853With Christmas less than a month away, it’s time to start shopping for friends and family. While I enjoy finding the perfect gift for those on my list, for me, shopping for my father is always the most difficult. Thankfully, Coast has an immensely helpful article on finding the perfect gift for your dad, no matter what type of man he is. It’s called “Holiday Gift Ideas for D-A-D” and provides a number of gift options for dads of all kinds.

For instance, there are gifts for the “If-It-Ain’t-Broke-Don’t-Fix-It Dad,” the “If-It-Ain’t-Broke-Fix-It-Anyway Dad,” the “Real Man,” the “Sportsman,” and the “Strong, Silent Type.” I’m sure your father fits into at least one of these categories because, well, my dad fits into more than one.

Surviving Black Friday a la Coast

C11Well, the busiest shopping day of the year is upon us. I was astonished to learn that stores were opening up as early 1 and 2 o’clock in the morning. I’ve heard of hunters getting up before the break of dawn, but it looks like bargain hunting is in a league of its own. If you’re like me, however, you’ll be missing all the early bird specials and deals Black Friday has to offer. In fact, you probably won’t see the inside of any stores today at all.

So, what exactly is my plan for finding the best deals on my holiday shopping? The Internet, of course. Thankfully, virtually everything you could ever need for your friends and family can be found for sale online. And what about the bargains, you ask? Well, I’d submit that the world wide web is practically the best place to pay the amount you want for the product you want.
